The Roots Co. have carried out a sizeable amount of work for us over the past 5 years, including crown reductions, crown thinning and tree felling. Every job they have carried out has been done to very high standards. They are always considerate and take the time to discuss what they are doing and why. They will always try and be mindful of habitat opportunities for the local wildlife too, which we love. The most recent job they completed for us involved a tree in a lake, a pontoon and pretty much a full day reducing the crown of the three quarters submerged tree. Needless to say they did an excellent job in what was a pretty tricky situation! All the tree surgeons are approachable, friendly and very professional and you can tell they love their job and they love their trees. I would most definitely recommend The Roots Co. very highly for any of your tree works needs!

Their professionalism, knowledge, skill and work ethic are second to none. Over 28 years I have been in contact with a number of 'so called tree surgeons' but The Roots Company come out on top of them all. They were climbing and dismantling 11 trees, 70 feet high, with trunks upto 4 feet in diameter, over a period of 4 days, taking between 4 to 7 men per day. This team came to clear a vine that had run amuck in the patio of our new apartment. Their quote was reasonable, the representative professional. The teamwere prompt, used appropriate safety equipment and were very tidy. They did a great job and we recommend them.

Greg was most helpful over Christmas when part of our large leylandii came down in the gales. He inspected during his holiday and returned the following week with his team to take the tree down in very difficult weather conditions (Hurricane Eleanor). Needed 3 large trees removed and 2 further trees shaped. Extremely prompt response from Greg who came to quote and provided some great advice. Although their quote was competitive we decided to go with The Roots Co because of their professional attitude, quality advice and genuine care showed for the work and trees. Work carried out 2 weeks later by Casper and Jez (together with an adorable puppy). Arrived when scheduled, very professional, polite chaps who worked hard throughout the day. Cleaned up so well afterwards we hardily knew they had been. Received a follow up call from Greg that evening just to ensure we were completely happy with the work. Great company to deal with, no hesitation in recommending them.

Having competitively quoted for the large Ash tree in our garden shared with some of our neighbors, Greg and his team from The Root Company set to work on the three-day job to reduce the load on two main limbs on this landmark tree in Shaftesbury, Dorset and to trim some hedge line and remove an old tree trunk. Working in unison with the Planning consent for this Ash tree with a preservation order on, and the Surveyors report, they did as perfect job to satisfy all requirements, and leave the tree looking healthy and hopefully giving it a good chance of being around for many years to come. Not only have they done a professional job up and around the tree, but their coordination, communication and general friendliness made the job a pleasure to see. We have retained a very large tree, even though a 1/3 shorter now, and wonderfully shaped and thinned, which encourages wildlife, but now, we have more light and water able to get thru. Fantastic job.
